South Texas is now said to be on its way to being the next oil boom the likes of Venezuela or Kuwait by 2020.

The city of Catarina Texas is where Eagle Ford Field is being prepared for over a dozen oil drilling companies to begin production.

These fields will use a fracking method to shoot water and chemicals into the ground and speed oil flow back up into storage.

Texas has come through once again by being the largest energy producer for the U.S. with the potential of providing 25% of all crude oil for America from this one new field.

The pros to this new find is that no offshore drilling is necessary, it is U.S. owned oil, it can be easily drilled for using the fracking method, and less reliance on communist and middle east oil.

The cons to this new crude oil discovery in Texas is that it uses the fracking method which could potentially harm the Texas water supply.

How does this new oil field relate to electricity? There will be natural gas finds along with the oil at this site. The natural gas collected will assist in meeting natural gas supply levels.

These natural gas finds are critical for the production of cheap Texas commercial and residential electricity during peak periods of the day.
