I wrote an article on a different website a few years ago making the point that all the special flowers on their Apple computers blogging about the whales, and the environment and how to use cloth reusable toilet paper are killing the environment.
I was laughed at for claiming that a mere computer could be killing the environment as many librarian glasses wearing fools continued to comment away on my site while taking a break from their own.
The truth is that data centers that control the internet are some of the biggest energy using businesses in existence. According to an article posted on UK Times they make the point I made a couple years ago: UK Times
I recommend you read the article as it sheds the light on internet energy usage which when taken in as a whole and compared to a country is the 5th largest energy consumer in the world.
I think the “greeny” activists who are addicted to their blogging and ipod touch will have a hard time relinquishing this internet past time and addiction.
Can you say hypocrisy? The hipster bloggers are creating their supposed global warming and they don’t even realize it.
